   “The World’s Best Girlfriend” by Durjoy Dutta is a heartwarming and engaging novel that explores the complexities of relationships and the power of true love.the language is very easy to understand. This book is written about the friendship, love, and relationships of Daksh and Aanchal. The story is beautifully woven, and every character is well placed. Aanchal is an ambitious girl who wants to achieve a lot at a very young age. She has a boyfriend named Vicky, and their relationship is sometimes good and sometimes very bad. Eventually, she meets Daksh on her lucky draw trip to Andaman, who is an upper-middle-class Dubai resident and is handsome and responsible, just like every girl wants. Their story begins from there. After 4 years of the trip, when they meet again, Daksh has changed a lot, but Aanchal comes back into his life. However, Aanchal, being an ambitious girl, chooses her career over love. Daksh, being Gaurav’s business partner, cannot completely sever their connection. Three years later, when they meet again at Aanchal’s friend Vinneta’s wedding, the story takes a new turn. Durjoy has ended the story in suspense, so we have to wait for the next part to know what happens. There is also a new character in this story, Amruta Thakur, who is Daksh’s close friend in the end, or maybe something more.”

   World’s best girlfriend by Durjoy datta is a literary gem that deserves a place on everyone’s bookshelf. I was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected twists and turns throughout the story. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the narrative took a sharp and thrilling twist, leaving me craving for more.Cannot wait for part 2!!!!!!

   World’s Best Girlfriend by Durjoy Datta follows the intertwined lives of Daksh and Aanchal, offering an exploration of modern relationships, the complexities of adulthood, career choices, and personal growth.The story begins when Daksh and Aanchal meet for the first time during a vacation in the Andaman Islands. At that point, Daksh comes across as a carefree individual without clear life goals, while Aanchal, from a middle-class background, is determined to build a successful career. Their paths cross again after four years, and much has changed in their lives, except for Daksh’s unwavering feelings for Aanchal. However, Aanchal, fresh out of a toxic relationship, is uncertain if she’s ready for any of it.I loved Daksh’s character. He is portrayed as a kind and caring individual; the way he looks after his family, especially his younger sister, is heart-touching. Throughout the book, I found myself rooting for him. In contrast, Aanchal is portrayed as somewhat self-centered, and she is viewed as selfish by others.The book focuses on the practical aspects of relationships and the complexities of adulthood, offering more than just another typical love story. I also loved Gaurav, Aanchal’s brother’s storyline.However, I didn’t appreciate the excessive use of abusive language in the book, and the prolonged duration of that toxic relationship did test my patience. Additionally, some sections of the book felt a bit rushed, which could have been better developed.The story concludes with a cliffhanger, and I’m eager to discover how Daksh and Aanchal’s story ends.

   *NO Spoiler Review*Having been an avid reader of Durjoy’s work since his first book, this story is not something I would have expected from him, if you are reading the book as a first timer, then keep in mind that there is a PART 2 yet to be finished and the story is still incomplete, and with that in mind let your heart take it’s own time to become a part of the story, of the lives of Aanchal, Daksh, Vanita and Gaurav, on the surface level it might seem like any other basic story but i 100% expect Durjoy to give this story an ending that will be absolutely worth the wait. Some of the most frustratingly enjoyable 6 hours of my life spent reading after so long, it’s been literally years since I have felt so engaged, so enraged, so invested in a story and i am now hooked to it and I cannot wait to find out what happens next.- Anshika K.

   The book arrived on time and was in pristine condition.This might be one of the best and the most beautiful romance novels I’ve ever read.You should not give it a second thought and order it straight away! Eagerly waiting for the second part by Durjoy.
