      Product description

Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely travelling further than the pantry of his hobbit-hole in Bag End. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard, Gandalf and a company of thirteen dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an unexpected journey ‘there and back again’. They have a plot to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon. The prelude to The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit has sold many millions of copies since its publication in 1937, establishing itself as one of the most beloved and influential books of the twentieth century.

🏡🐉 Bilbo Baggins is a contented hobbit living a quiet life in the Shire until the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield arrive at his doorstep. They seek his help in reclaiming their homeland, Erebor, from the fearsome dragon Smaug.

🛡️🔥 Despite his initial reluctance, Bilbo agrees to join the quest as the group’s “burglar.” Along the way, they encounter trolls, goblins, elves, giant spiders, and other dangers as they journey through Middle-earth.

🗡️💰 Bilbo discovers a magical ring that grants him the power of invisibility, which proves invaluable in their adventures. He also encounters Gollum in the depths of the Misty Mountains and engages in a riddle contest to escape.

👑🏰 Eventually, the company reaches the Lonely Mountain, where Smaug hoards a vast treasure. With Bilbo’s help, they devise a plan to defeat the dragon and reclaim Erebor.

🐉💥 After a fierce battle, Smaug is slain, but the treasure attracts the attention of other powers in Middle-earth, including the men of Lake-town and the elves of Mirkwood.

⚔️🧝‍♂️ The Battle of the Five Armies ensues, in which dwarves, men, elves, goblins, and eagles clash over the spoils of Erebor. Bilbo and his friends play a crucial role in the outcome of the battle.

🌟🏞️ Bilbo returns home to the Shire a changed hobbit, having experienced adventure and danger beyond his wildest dreams. He is richer in experience, wisdom, and friendship, forever marked by his journey.

📚 “The Hobbit” is a classic tale of heroism, friendship, and the power of adventure, beloved by readers of all ages for its rich world-building, memorable characters, and timeless themes.

No wonder why it’s so acclaimed. I just love how pure, funny; innocent; grateful, and remarkable is the Hobbit kind, and of course, skilled. Their uncanny love for food and comfort is funny and peaceful for me respectively. The tale was enthralling and full of wonders, challenges, rest, war and death, and peace, riches, and prosperity, at the end. Huge praise for Bilbo Baggins, who discovered how much of use, courage, and abilities he was throughout the journey when dwarves racket failed (many a time) and earned himself a title: MAGNIFICIENT, which, of course, once belonged to the great dragon: Smaug the magnificent. And, yes, not all of his great deeds were just out of luck! ⚙So funny was Bombur, and caring was the Balin, powerful was Beorn, and wonderful was Gandalf, and stiff was Thorin. Overall, give it a try.

The quality of pages and ink is good. Beautiful illustrations. But the corners of the cover were a little bent. Book arrived on time.

No wonder this book is one of the worldwide bestseller. The author has managed to capture us and take us to the Lord of the Rings universe and make us feel the ambience. I had no idea that this book is so much interesting to read. The characters are really fascinating. Overall the book is engaging to anyone.

Great book and good quality pages and as always amazing illustrations both colour and sketches by Allan Lee.Received a damaged product the first time because of poor packaging, got it replaced. The cover was damaged. Second time same issue. But that has more to do with the seller. Didn’t replace it because the book is quite amazing.Anyways go for it.

Gorgeous EditionFinally bought this edition of the hobbit and was not disappointed. This has been my favourite novel for more than 20 years and there’s finally an extremely gorgeous and well-made version that I’m proud to have in my collection. All of the touches that were put into this just put it over the top from the gold foil, pages to the leather bound spine with the minimalist art. It’s a must have for any fan of the series.

Simplesmente sensacionalEssa versão facsimile de O Hobbit é o item perfeito de qualquer colecionador de Tolkien. O box é bem reforçado, rígido. A dustjacket é linda e o livro em si é maravilhoso. Capa dura em tecido, fonte réplica e texto do original. Não poderia estar mais satisfeito

      11. MARTIN E.
