      Product description

‘A taut, compulsively readable, elegantly plotted thriller’, Guardian

‘There is a lot to really enjoy in this story and there is great energy to the writing, as well as some fine characterization.’, Peter James, award-winning and no.1 bestselling crime thriller author of Detective Superintendent Roy Grace series

‘Prepare to be murdered by this book. Dark, dangerous and intricately plotted – my heart literally pounded. I haven’t been this addicted to anything since Serial. Holly Jackson is the next big thing, I promise.’, Laura Steven, author of the critically acclaimed The Exact Opposite of Okay

‘Twisty, compulsive and so, so, clever’, Savannah Brown, author of The Truth About Keeping Secrets

‘This book was a delight from start to finish. I laughed. I cried. And I very much enjoyed attempting to solve the case with Pip (who I now want to be my best friend). I didn’t guess the twist, and I don’t think many people will. Holly Jackson has absolutely killed it with her debut!’, Aisha Bushby, author of A Pocketful of Stars and contributor to the award-winning A Change is Gonna Come

‘That ending! Pure genius’, Yasmin Rahman, author of All the Things We Never Said

‘In a League of its Own’, Lucy Powrie, author of The Paper & Hearts Society

‘A Twisty, compelling UK YA debut’, Fiona Noble, The Bookseller

Book quality – GoodStory – Very captive (though seems a little unrealistic at times)Totally recommended Young Adult Thriller. 👍🏽

      9. KF

Review about condition of book, not contentDamaged on the edges upon arrival. Weird glob of glue stuck to the top that won’t come off without damaging the pages.Design of the book is pretty though.

      10. Lovisa Sandström

Spoiler alert!!The Bell case has gone cold. Andie went missing five years ago, a few days later her boyfriend turned up dead and she everyone assumed he did it. They still do. Until the young student Pip decides to dig into it. The question is how far will the real killer go to keep her off their trail.⚠️ I usually try to keep my reviews spoiler free but I just couldn’t do it for this one so SPOILER ALERT! ⚠️The hype around this book is real! YA isn’t my favorite genre but it really works in this case. It took me awhile to understand just how young Pip is. I thought she was older but apparently she’s in high school. I really like the way her investigation process is shown. I just wish the images were placed a bit differently. You’ll definitely have to break the spine to se the entire thing.I had it nailed down pretty early on to one or two possible suspects. The book is called a good GIRLS guide to murder after all. I do like the title but I don’t like that it spoils the book. Or maybe it’s just me. That dragged down my rating a bit. That said there are some really surprising moments that I did not see coming. So there is still plenty of mystery. There are so many characters so I’d recommend taking some notes to make it easier to keep track of all the connections. I really liked the friendship between Pip and Ravi. He’s so sweet! I look forward to following their journey in the next couple of books.I highly recommend this one, especially if you like plot twists and whodunnit books.
