      Book Description

A brand-new steamy billionaire romance from the bestselling author of the Twisted series

      From the Back Cover

He had her, he lost her . . . and he’ll do anything to win her back.

Powerful, brilliant, and ambitious, Dominic Davenport clawed his way up from nothing to become the King of Wall Street.

He has everything – a beautiful home, a beautiful wife and more money than he could spend in a lifetime. But no matter how much he accumulates, he’s never satisfied.

In his endless quest for more, he drives away the only person who saw him as enough.

It isn’t until she’s gone that he realizes there may be more to life than riches and glory . . . but by then, it may be too late.

Kind, intelligent, and thoughtful, Alessandra Davenport has played the role of trophy wife for years.

She stood by her husband while he built an empire, but now that they’ve reached the top, she realizes he’s no longer the man she fell for.

When it becomes clear that she’ll always come second to his work, she finally takes charge of her life and puts herself first – even if it means leaving the only man she’s ever loved.

But what she didn’t count on was his refusal to let her go . . . or for him to fight for their marriage, no matter what it takes.

      1. Aayushi Chauhan

Ana Huang makes you feel things. It was a good read but personally i loved the twisted series more. The story about finding yourself after getting divorced and choosing yourself which really makes the book worth a read.Although there are few things that makes it a little boring:1. When you are eagerly waiting for a climax but eventually it is not as exciting as expected, or noticed in Ana’s other books.2. A times the characters are a little unrelatable.Overall it is a good read.

I loved the ride of emotion and raw vulnerability she bought with the characters, it was fierce and full of love

      3. Sagarika S.

Till 75% I liked Alessandra, but when she threw in that statement,i couldn’t help but get super annoyed at her. Overall,it, was a good storyline because not many romance novels are written on the basis of finding your way back to that same person, but rather moving on to the next person so beautifully.

      4. Arushi

I really was expecting more out of this novel because of the way it was hyped. It was good but I think Alessandra let him off easy.

      5. Sonali s.

Loved it. But a little bit disappointed, I was expecting a little more grovelling, which was Missing, I somehow feel it wasn’t worth the hype only for the grovelling part, otherwise I enjoyed it.

Fan-fckng-tastic!!!!!! This book is a gem! I loved how mature and independent Alessandra was. She waited enough and instead of carrying on like that she started oiving for herself and i loved this about her. Dom had his ups and downs but in the end he was perfect! I wanted to know more about solane and xavier and roman Ofcourse but i trust Ana. I know she must’ve a plan already 💞

      7. Parvathya

The words, the emotions, the angst, it was all totally amazing. I absolutely loved the book and Iam sure I’ll re-read it in the near future. I’ve read all in this series but this is by far my favourite.

      8. Bhabyashree Padhy

Grab Your Tissues!4.75 ⭐️⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️“You broke my heart, and you weren’t even there to witness it.”If you need a good cry, or if you love Ana’s previous books, you should pick this one up next.“I’m not you r wife anymore.””No. But you’re still my love. That hasn’t changed.”With chestnut har, blue-gray eyes, and tanned skin, Brazilian Alessandra Ferreira turned Davenport only wanted one thing: for her husband to love her as much as he did his work.“You have no idea what you do to m, Ále. I would destroy the world if it would please you. I would ruin every man who thought he could have you.”From pauper to King of Wall Street, the dark blonde-haired, navy blue-eyed Dominic Davenport is New York City’s workaholic, who pays more attention to his work than his wife of 10 years.“I don’t need a reason to be with you, amor. But I’ll give you ten thousand if it means you’ll say yes. They’ve loved each other for so many years, that it’s almost impossible for either one of them to fully walk away from the other. Though Alessandra tries her hardest, there’s no denying that she’ll always be drawn to Dominic, regardless of how she’s felt over the years. While reading the novel, you see how well Ále and Dom fit together while they’re in Brazil, and also when they return back to New York. Yes, it takes Dom a while to right his wrongs, but when you’ve loved one person for more than a decade, it’s hard to convince not only yourself or the other person, but everyone else around you that you can live without them. I truly believe that their chemistry, despite everything, is one of my favorites.“Even if she hated me with the fire of a thousand suns, that wouldn’t compare to how much I hated myself in that moment.”Dominic appeared to be more married to his work than his own wife, whom he’s been with for 11 years, and married for 10. Alessandra draws the final line when Dominic ends up missing their 10 year anniversary. Alessandra leaves, and soon after tells Dom she wants a divorce. Dominic, not understanding where she’s coming from, refuses to sign the papers and walk away. It takes him a while to finally realize that the signs were there, and he unintentionally ignored them, believing Ále was okay with how much he was away at work because she never spoke on it. It takes a lot more than a ‘sorry’ for Dominic to get Ále back, but in the end, he finally comes to the realization that his wife of a decade is worth a whole lot more than work opportunities that will come by again.“There is no moving on. Not for me.”——My heart ached so much for Ále. I still personally think Alex is the king of groveling. I feel like Dom could’ve groveled a little bit more, but Ále was just like me and took him back, so I can’t be too too mad at her because same. I cried so much (as expected), and it was so good to see Josh and Jules in their cameo, though I wish it had been with Jules in her workplace. Absolutely loved this book, and it did not disappoint.Though I wish the story was a little longer (it was only 315 pages), I still enjoyed every page, even though this book got more tears out of me than anything else. I was hoping for a little more groveling, but at the same time, I understand where the MCs are coming from.I do wish there was a little more angst, but like I’ve said before above, when you’ve loved someone for so long, it’s hard to just walk away like they meant nothing to you, and Ana executed that beautifully. When you haven’t experienced heartbreak the way Alessandra did, it’s hard to relate, not even that, but to really understand why it was written the way it was.Going on over to the cameo, I already had a gut feeling that it was going to be Josh and Jules, however, I wished it was executed a little differently. I was hoping for a more Jules in her workplace as a lawyer (yes I know Jules isn’t a lawyer for marriages), with Josh there, too, if that makes sense. Nonetheless, I still was happy to see them in KoG as their usual, playful selves, taking a vacation in a Brazilian island.Throughout the whole book, I went through all the stages of grief. From not even the first line of the first chapter, but the dedication alone had the waterworks already coming down. I still believe that Ana’s writing gets better with every book she writes, and it shows in the way she wrote the ‘Twisted’ series and her current ‘Kings of Sin’ series. This series is still in my top favorite series, and I have a feeling that that’s not going to change anytime soon.——some quotes i think about all the time:“You can go on as many dates as you want, amor. But no one will love you like I do. Tu e eu. Não tem comparação.“You’ve make it clear, time and time again, that I’m not a priority.”“Thats not true…You know I would choose you.”“That’s the thing. I don’t. Because you haven’t chosen me. Not in a very, very long time.”“I want my greed to be for you love, your laughter, and our life together. I can’t bear to be parted from you. Please Ále, will you be my wife?”“The difference is, back then, I thought I had nothing to lose. Now, I realize I have everything to lose.”“I’m asking you one last time. Where is my wife?*i voluntarily read and reviewed this book. all thoughts and opinions are my own.*

My Saying Stands: 💰 Cannot Buy Happiness🛑SPOILERS🛑⭐️: 4/5Ever since I started back school, reading has become an unnecessary tool. When I say I am in a book slump with a lot on my plate, I am not saying enough. I miss reading, but when I try to sit down and read, I have a hard time completing it because I always have more tasks at hand. But, this book kind of changed that for me.I have been anticipating this book since King of Wrath. The distance you witnessed because Dom and Ale ealier in the series always left me wondering. So when I heard they would have a book, I was excited!First, I did have issues with the book. It was lackluster at times and rushed. The relationship between Ale and her mother was not examined, and I believe it should have been. Her mother played a huge role in why she dealt with Dom’s BS for so many years. Also, Roman. I can’t wait to find out more about him, but that storyline was missing a lot, and I at least wanted some sort of sign at the end. Not to mention, their separation during the duration of their divorce was short. Two months, huh? I think at least eight months to a year would have been better. Lastly, the mercenary storyline was cringed because it was totally unexpected and not built as a story plot in the book. It could have been great, but it just seemed like filler. However, with those issues, I can say I enjoyed the book. Dom’s fight to get his wife back 👌🏾. The groveling was great, and in books, I usually the alpha male you can’t touch my ex or the girl I am interested in. Ale shot that down quick and wasn’t going to be bullied by him. Also, seeing their backstory added a lot to the context of their relationship and why Dom was so passionate about building his empire. When you go from rags to riches, I don’t think you will ever rest again because there will always be a fear. Also, I loved seeing Jules and Josh 😊. The book gave off the quote: money can not buy happiness 🤷🏾‍♀️. Some believe it can, but to me, it can’t. It can make you comfortable, but not happy. This book was good with just a few issues. I am hoping to start getting into reading again because reading this book made me realize my need and love for reading.I can’t wait for the next book. Slaone baby, Xavier is coming 😉!
