I really enjoyed the entire series, truly worth a read. The Shatter Me series is a great introduction to the Dystopian genre.Imagine Me, despite some okayish reviews, was a good conclusion to the series. I highly, highly recommend this 😸😸😸

      2. Rupsa (_her.library_)

Imagine me is the last and 6th book of the popular Shatter Me series. The last book came out at the end of march 2020. If you haven’t read the book before still feel free to read this review as I’m trying to make it as spoiler free as possible. 💞 Personally this series is my favourite series (Dystopian, YA) of all time.It contains so much emotions and not to mention the beautiful writing of Mafi. Now, let’s start the fangirling plus review of this last book. ➡️ The plot starts after the Defy Me; after celebrating Warner’s birthday. The good thing about this book was the story moved so fast. Especially in Restore Me (4th book of the series), the plot moving was tremendous slow, which I didn’t like at all. Another good thing about this book was the POV. yes, the book has been told from 2 POVs. Ella or Juliette & Kenji. No Warner POV folks (But still don’t be disappointed fandom, you’ll still enjoy it to your heart’s content) 💫While reading this book I felt Juliette being most lively compared to all the other books in the series. She was fresh, confident & desperately in love & that makes her so powerful & so lively. In the earlier part of the series she was pretty dull; not a strong female protagonist but as the series progresses so does she & in the end book she was marvelous. 💖The book has so much humor that sometimes I was laughing like a mad girl. Especially in Kenji-Warner conversations. Finally, the series has a happy ending so you don’t need to worry about not being satisfied or etc.

The pages and everything are good but the cover page came a bit damaged and the last page of the book was folded and wrinkled. But it’s okay since it wasn’t a page of reading and stuff iykwim. Other than that the delivery and all were on time and this book is so soft and I love it. Overall worth it

2.5 Stars!2.5 Stars is probably me being super generous but the extra star is only for for the Warnette feels.Well..that was quite a disappointment. I was actually pretty excited when she decided to continue the series because it actually seemed to be going somewhere interesting(Also more Warnette). The last book was a disappointment but I chalked it up to the book being a filler to lay down some foundation for the finale. But unfortunately this book was a huge let down.I wanted this book to give me something so much more than what I received. This book felt super rushed and so anticlimactic.None of the characters got proper closure. The first 60% were so confusing,it had me questioning my ability to discern the plot properly because I just couldn’t understand what was going on.The plot seemed to be going nowhere.Just as I got to grasp the plot a little,we got the epilogue.I wasn’t sure why the story was alternating between Kenji and Juliette. As much as I loved Kenji,I am not sure I wanted to see the plot through his eyes. His POV lacked any emotional connect and his humour could only carry so much of the plot.Juliette’s POV were a mess. She wasn’t even herself throughout the whole book which was supposed to be a conclusion to her story. Some chapters were a little disturbing to read and I wasn’t even sure of how it would even affect the plot.It seemed so random and out of place.Tahereh’s writing is something that I’ve always admired and this is no exception. Some of the lines were truly beautiful. But the writing wasn’t enough to mask the lack of a proper plot and execution. The main allure of this series was the writing and the characters. The writing aspect was amazing but the characters felt so hollow in this one.I would love to get Warner’s POV when he went psychotic.I would have loved Juliette to be Juliette for the majority of the book.So many threads left untied. It was not a conclusion that these characters deserved. It was rushed, sloppy and not well thought out at all.

Omg, this was a nail-biter in the true sense! I had my heart in my throat the whole time I was reading this book. Absolutely fascinating. I am so in love with Mafi’s writing – it is gripping and captivating.I will not be able to say much about the story without it being a spoiler. Suffice it to say, the way the precursor concluded I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into. I never would have imagined such a turn of events. Nazeera, Kenji, Juliette, Warner everyone is incredible. Kenji is such a gem of a person! He does not hesitate to say what is on his mind. He says it as he sees it. His dialogues, his attitude was so hilarious that every time he appeared in the book there was a smile on my face. And then there is Warner – there was a point wherein I was so irritated with Warner. I mean the way he simply terrified everyone when he thought he lost Juliette was albeit painful but it was frustrating as hell. But then that is Warner for you! On one hand, where he is completely dispassionate towards others, when it comes to Juliette he is overwhelmed with emotions. He loves her so much, feels so much for her, it is as if he cannot even contain it in his heart. I just love the way he loves. Oh, my heart! What I have come to realize about myself (thanks to some hard-hitting books that I have read) is that I hate torture. I hate suffering and I hate pain inflicted by one human upon another. I understand that you need it in the story to be true to the plot but I for one cannot stomach it. Juliette suffers so so much in this book and it just got too much for me and that is the only reason I could not give this one a 5-star rating. Otherwise, I have not read such a gripping book in a long long time. I have come to love this series so so much.Heart rendering, emotional and fascinating read. Absolutely recommend!

Decent endingAfter such a long series I would have hoped for a longer and more detailed ending but it was at least on a high note.

The Dystopian Views of “The Reestablishment “ are Finally Coming To an End*** Some Spoiler’s May Be Present***The book where Ella, who was Juliette, but then, sometimes reverts back to Ella,Jumps from one perilous situation to another, as The Reestablishment try’s to claim her to take the place of her ailing sister Emmaline. The story jumps around as the group is now hiding out in “Sanctuary” the sector where Castles daughter Nouria, rules with her wife Sam.So, we have the back and forth battle between the Supreme Commanders of “The Reestablishment” and their scientists up against the Rebel Sectors fighting to protect Ella Aaron, Kenji, Nazeera, and the Unnatural’s that survived Omega Point.Honestly, I lost count how many times Ella/Juliette seemed to end up in the hands of Paris Anderson( Aaron/ Warners Dad )In near perilOr!One of the group did, sending everyone off into rescue mode. This all came to a head in a moment where Sanctuary was attacked, leaving hundreds dead…Strangely!…No main characters who, thanks to their preternatural abilities, all had each other’s backs.Even the ones how’s injuries were fatal, were able to have a speedy recovery thanks to the “healers”. Sonya and Sara. So, as the series draws to an end, the big twist, the moment we all knew might come where Ella/Juliette’s fragile mental state might just give way…Is finally helped along by none other than the dear, old, Dads Max, and ParisAs they attempt to swap Ella/Juliette out, bring her off the reserve bench, so to speak…to take over from her ailing sister. Will the gang get there in time to save the day? Will the exceptionally smart Nazeera be able to have enough PLANS up her sleeve to out think the Supreme Commanders? ( including her Dad )(“Nazeera’s genius hacking work was a success, because without her, there’s no way we’d have made much headway at all.”See….SEE!!!Kenji gets it They would be dust if Nazeera’s character wasn’t so prominent in this story.)She did EVERYTHING!!!Will Kenji ever run out of one liners, and life advice that nobody asked him for, enough to get his act together? ( when he’s not drooling over Nazeera )Well, we are about to find out.Hold tight..Thank Goodness when you go into battle there is always an unnatural around just when their superhuman abilities are needed. However,Just when I thought Nazeera was out the picture, with her injury, she shows up again.Conveniently, when a plane is needed to be flown…Not to mention we discover her new HACKING ABILITIESOkay! The scenarios in this last book that were put in place were becoming a little too diabolically unbelievable.Every obstacle our gang came up against, was magically neutralised, so that Aaron, Kenji, and Nazeera could continue along there merry way to Oceania.Nareeza was the MVP in this instalment. The tasks,…nine times out of ten, …fell into her lap.Which make me wonder…. if she was the character the author had fashioned the most around her own persona.Due to the fact, the girl seemed to have an answer to every problem the group ran into. So, as this series finishes, I have to say it’s been a wild ride.I also have to say…THAT…Found Kenji, although originally funny, through most of the series, started to get a little irritating.Also.A little disappointed after all the fresh, new storytelling scenarios that were prevalent in this series that it ended just like every other YA dystopian novel…Everyone paired up, from the group,(Even Adam, I’m guessing)HAPPY!!!WITH A WEDDING! ( Ugh )Yeah. Shouldn’t have read the damn Epilogue ( sigh)Four stars
