Sometimes even if you know how the story ends, it still surprises you and rips your heart out. If he had been with me is one of the most emotional high school love stories I have read. We get Autumn and Finn just as bread crumbs for almost 70% of the book but at least they still get a summer together.

Being a fan of love stories, this book has set standards in this genre I feel! The writing is too good and that characters are bright into fore is truly amazing!! One of the best reads in recent times no doubt!!!

Irrevocable Beautiful & Tragic, just like life.I started this story knowing the ending, knowing with an infalible doubt that it would end with my heart shattered. But, I didn’t believe it. I thought that like many other books this one would ache but not destroy. I love this book, I loved Autumn eccentric personality, how she was flawed but loved. She shined on her own. Finny, God… Finny is one of those characters that you can’t help but be drawn to. His quiet presence but enigmatic aura speak to your soul. I can’t help but write and rewrite their story in my head, for an ending that does it justice to my battered heart. If you love heart break and a story that makes you fall in love and enraged with the journey this is for you. It’s soft and unassuming until it hits you all at once at full throttle when you think you’re on the final stretch. Autumn & Finny left me with a reeling mind, wondering what all I let pass by in life. They reminded me that time is not subjective, it is not guaranteed and when the opportunity calls for you leap you just let yourself… have the courage to jump.
