No jokes !It was just freaking Emotional 🥺I’m in love with Samson now haha !Plus , my new Favourite book now <3Story deserves more than 5 stars, but since the copy was pirated and not authentic, I'd rate it 4 .Pages were white as if came out of a printer right away , texts were so bold that it was obvious it's gonna be hard to read . Other than that , it's an AMAZING Read ✨

Yet another beautiful book by Colleen Hoover, Heart Bones lives up to all the other titles by the author. I love how her writing connects the reader to the protagonist, like you’re experiencing the story not just reading it. It makes you feel joy, anger, at times anxiety for what’s next and so much more.Would highly recommend for anyone who loves a well written romance, with an air of mystery!

“Sometimes I believe personalities are shaped more by damage than kindness. Kindness doesn’t sink as deep into your skin as the damage does. The damage stains your soul so bad, you can’t scrub it off.”Gosh, I can never stop gushing about CoHo!She seems to amaze me every darn time! I got my hands on this book as soon as I could! She’s always got a unique story to tell, with characters that are special in their own way. Within two days, I was done reading this book. I loved the characters, maybe I grew a heart bone for them too. That might’ve broken down during the climax.People keep saying how love is supposed to be about sacrifice and selflessness, but this is what love should be about! If one can’t “be their best self” how could they expect the same from others? I respect her even more for how she resolved the entire plot.Do read it. It’s beautiful!

I read anything Colleen writes. She saved my life when I first read her book, Ugly Love in 2014. She literally did, she just doesnt have a clue about it. Reading Heart Bones felt like a deja vu to Ugly Love. Just the same intensity but in different settings. Truthfully, I loved Beyah as a character far more than Samson. I could really very well relate to her because of her impenetrable persistence. I devour books and I dont just read them, but I feel them too. I enjoy this process all the more with Colleen’s words and books. The fact that it took me 3 days to read this book means it was a great, quick summer read. As I write this, I’m thinking back to my last visit to a beach and how much I felt in peace being there. I never take a sunrise, sunset and ocean/sea for granted, especially not after reading Heart Bones. Pick it up, it will do your soul good.

I’ve been a CoHort ever since I read her first book. But she never fails to make me fall in love with her words and characters every time I pick up one of her books.Heart Bones is one of the best books I’ve read in a while and here are the reasons:1. It shows the true face of poverty and what it does to children who grow up in it.2. It showcases riches in a non – stereotypical way and never once villainizes it.3. The book describes all the ways one can do parenting wrong and isn’t afraid to break the myth that parents are perfect and they always put their kids first.4. Samson and Beyah are two “deep” people (by deep I mean extremely sad and deeply scarred by their past) but their relationship is not one bit toxic. They made sure it won’t become toxic till the very end.5. The book taught me that the best favour we do ourselves is to put ourselves first.6. Last but not the least, the book made me yearn for the ocean *:(*Overall, I love love loved the book. I grew heart bones for it! ❤

Everything I expect from CoHoHeart Bones grabbed me from the opening pages and never let me go. I fell hard for Beyah right from the start, it was even a bit shocking how quickly I forgot they were simply words on paper and how I felt her as if she was real. It was everything I expect from a book written by Colleen Hoover. It is a story of damaged people finding acceptance, it is about finding family, a new life… it is about a horrible past that you take with you, it is about trusting people and letting them in. I can’t tell you enough how heartfelt CoHo’s books are and how they rip my heart apart every time. This one’s was no different, I had it tough in those first pages but the best was yet to come. The writing was very addictive so I read this novel in double quick time. Heart Bones was an emotional read, if you hadn’t gathered it already, but I did feel more emotional throughout the story than at the end of the novel, which I’m not sure was meant to be. The ending was a bit rushed and I don’t know if I would have wanted it to follow a different path but I didn’t feel IT so much there. Still, the story is well worth reading and maybe I should just believe in fairytales more than I currently do. I can’t wait for my next read by this author!

cute, cheesy readWhat I love most is that there was not a single, annoying character in this book. I enjoyed all the characters and their personalities. The FMC and MMC were a little cheesy at times in the way they spoke to each other or about some things but it was a bearable type of cheese. And I appreciate the author making the old lady character act more normal than some other authors do to their older characters. The author didn’t have her try to encourage the two main characters to get together or anything by talking sexually about the other – it was all just normal conversations. Overall, good storyline, interesting characters and backgrounds, cute and easy read.

When Romance Speaks of Human NatureOverall Grade: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️“‘…You can fill your life with nice things, but nice things don’t fill the holes in your soul.’‘What fills the holes in a soul?’Samson’s eyes scroll over my face for a few seconds.’Pieces of someone else’s soul.’”I guess you could say that I’ve been sitting on writing this review. It isn’t that I didn’t love this book. I adored it. I think it’s more about the idea of letting it go when I wanted to hold onto it a bit more. This is my second Colleen Hoover book, the first one being her last book, Regretting You. I know that her popularity comes from her stories such as Verity and It Ends with Us, and I have every intention of reading those stories. For me, Heart Bones, her newest book, along with Regretting You, have shown me the ways in which she pours herself into her storytelling in ways that are nuanced. That nuance makes for reads that impact you straight into your heart asthe secrets of her stories are divulged. And Heart Bones…it is no different. The premise of Heart Bones is a young woman on the cusp of change (going off to college) is thrust into her father’s world, a father who can only be considered very absentee. This world is a world of privilege, a world that she did not live in with her mother. There, she meets Samson, the local rich boy. They agree to a summer together before she leaves for college, and they pour themselves into each other. However, as the summer comes to an end, the ability to let go of Samson seems impossible. It is also in that space where the secret of Heart Bones is shown. What I loved most about this book is its elemental message about loving a person. As humans, we need people to “see” us, to seek to understand us without facade, and we oftentimes go through life without being regarded in elemental ways. It’s like we’re apparitions carrying ourselves through life, never fully engaging and becoming solid in the adoration of another. This is the underlying crux of this story. It’s the beauty of it, quite frankly. As Samson and Beyah encounter each other, (and this may sound corny), their souls acknowledge their similarities, and it creates this romance that is less about the physical (these two are slow-burn) and more about the emotional pull between them. This is a book about soulmates acknowledging their existence for the other, and that makes for a romance rife with depth and gravity.Even more, Hoover pokes and prods at the notion of socio-economic influence. In many ways Samson and Beyah are the same person, yet they exist at odds in terms of wealth. There is a complication to this in the story that illustrates the farce that a person who is wealthy cannot understand a person who is poor. Hoover bridges this idea with that connection. It’s a reminder that money does not soften life experiences. That it’s possible to understand a person even if your past or upbringing or wealth or lack of it is different from your own. As Samson and Beyah realize this notion, they recognize the reflection of each other in the other. Over and over again, their connections draw you into Heart Bones. And nuances of Colleen Hoover’s Heart Bones reside in the way it resonates in your soul even though it isn’t romantic by traditional romance standards. In this book and her last, the $exual relationship between her heroes and heroines are minimized in a way. The story isn’t about that. Instead, Hoover sets to tell stories about the human condition that transcend traditional romantic tropes. This is what has bowled me over about the two stories I’ve read thus far. Heart Bones is a story about learning to love yourself, as you find yourself reflected in another. It’s about recognizing that everyone has a story, and you aren’t alone. It’s about finding that person whose story connects with your own and loving them even through the difficulties of life. These messages roll over you again and again in Heart Bones, that when you’ve turned the last page, your heart feels like it’s grown its own heart bones, and you’re already nostalgic for a story that resonates with you in its basic truths about the human condition.
