Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling Paperback 6 September 2018

      Product description

‘It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be’ Albus DumbledoreWhen the Quidditch World Cup is disrupted by Voldemort’s rampaging supporters alongside the resurrection of the terrifying Dark Mark, it is obvious to Harry Potter that, far from weakening, Voldemort is getting stronger. Back at Hogwarts for his fourth year, Harry is astonished to be chosen by the Goblet of Fire to represent the school in the Triwizard Tournament. The competition is dangerous, the tasks terrifying, and true courage is no guarantee of survival – especially when the darkest forces are on the rise. These adult editions have been stylishly redesigned to showcase Andrew Davidson’s beautiful woodcut cover artwork.

“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” is the fourth book in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. It follows the adventures of Harry Potter, a young wizard, and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley during their fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The story begins with the Quidditch World Cup, where Harry witnesses the Dark Mark, a sign of Voldemort’s return, being cast into the sky. Back at Hogwarts, the school is chosen to host the Triwizard Tournament, a magical competition between three wizarding schools: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang.

Despite being underage, Harry is unexpectedly chosen as one of the champions to represent Hogwarts, alongside Cedric Diggory from Hufflepuff, Viktor Krum from Durmstrang, and Fleur Delacour from Beauxbatons. Harry suspects foul play, as the Triwizard Cup is a highly dangerous tournament meant for older students.

Throughout the tournament, Harry faces various challenges, including battling a Hungarian Horntail dragon, navigating through a magical maze, and rescuing hostages underwater. He also faces challenges in his personal life, such as navigating his feelings for Cho Chang and dealing with Rita Skeeter, a nosy journalist.

As the tournament progresses, Harry discovers that someone has manipulated events to ensure his participation and put him in grave danger. He faces Voldemort in the graveyard, where Voldemort is restored to physical form using Harry’s blood. Harry narrowly escapes with the help of his friends, but Cedric Diggory is tragically killed by Voldemort.

In the aftermath, Harry struggles with the trauma of witnessing Cedric’s death and the realization that Voldemort has returned. Despite the Ministry of Magic’s attempts to discredit him, Harry and his friends form Dumbledore’s Army to prepare for the looming threat of Voldemort’s return.

“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” explores themes of loyalty, friendship, and the consequences of prejudice and discrimination. It marks a turning point in the series, as Voldemort’s return sets the stage for the climactic battles to come.

      8. Amazon Customer

My reviews for Amazon-Quality of the book is very good. Title is in Golden Shine, which goes away in time duration. Mine, however, did not go because I had covered it all the time. No folded pages or torn pages. No BOOKMARK .Introduction to Harry Potter series-HARRY POTTER is a novel Book series of seven books , written by Joanne Kathleen Rowling. It is about the mysteries and adventures of a young boy, named Harry Potter. He has a historical past, and he needs to fight the most evil person of all times, Lord Voldemort.Introduction to this book- Harry’s scar is hurting and he has a strange dream. He gathers with the Weasleys to watch the QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP, but The Dark Mark apears to be there. Has Voldemort returned? Well, when the scar hurt, he wrote to Sirius Black, and his reply came back saying, he is coming to Harry. Harry becomes worried, he does not want Sirius go back to Azkaban. He says he was half sleeping when he wrote to him. A news appears. The Triwizard tournament is to be held. In this, The three wizarding schools gather together , and a Goblet with blue fires, known as The Goblet of fire, selects three students from each school, to represent themselves. The champions face deadly tasks, which can lead them to Death. Goblet of fire selects a Girl called Fleur Delacour from Beaxbautons school, Viktor Krum , international Quidditch seeker from Durmstrang, Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuff captain of quidditch and seeker for Hogwarts. However, one more champion is selected from Hogwarts. Of course, Harry Potter. Harry swears that he didn’t put his name in the goblet, but no one believes, not even Ron. There are 3 tasks. Hagrid manages to tell Harry the first task, which is to fight Dragons. Harry tells Cedric. He was Hogwarts champion, too. Their new defence against the dark arts teacher, Alastor Moody, a retired Auror advices Harry something. Hermione and Harry practice the Summoning charm, and Harry summons his firebolt. Harry wins the first task, but there are 2 more. Ron, after the first task, reunites with Harry, which is huge achievement to him. Second task goes, and Harry’s guessed it. To go to the Black Lake. Harry tries to find a book so that he can breathe under water. He couldn’t find such book. Dobby the house elf, who is free and is being paid by Dumbledore at Hogwarts for work, gives Harry a substance called Gillyweed. Harry finds he’s got to rescue Ron, who is guarded by merpeople . While crossing dangers, Harry recieves 2 nd position. Third task is to cross a maze, full of dangerous creatures. Meanwhile Daily Prophet news reporter, Rita Skeeter is making rumours about Harry, Harry and Cedric reach the Triwizard cup, in the maze. Cedric asks Harry to take it, and Harry asks Cedric to take it. Finally, both of them touch it together, but they get transported to a Graveyard, which Harry suspects is the one he saw in his dream. And then, Pettigrew says, Avada Kedavra(killing curse), on Cedric. He dies. Harry sees Pettigrew put his blood, a bone and Harry’s blood in a cauldron. Voldemort arises. He duels with Voldemort and escapes somehow. Fudge, Minister of Magic does not believe That Voldemort has returned. Hermione finds out that Rita Skeeter was and non registered, basically illegal animagus, and that’s how she’s been overhearing things. Harry’s typical 4 year finishes, but how long he’s got to go?My reviews for story- Joanne has nailed it. I love it. I don’t like the movie for this one, however. I prefer book than movies, as it provides more details. I am a true Potterhead. I have read 5th book, but now I am reviewing this book. Harry is truly brave, and this book is for all ages and gender.
